Google is going to launch its first foldable phone ‘The Pixel Fold’ in the second week of May. Their plan is to launch this foldable phone in their annual developer’s conference called Google I/O which will be held on 10th May.
With this foldable phone, Google is going to challenge Samsung which is the only leading player in the current foldable phone market. The price of this foldable phone is expected to be 1,700 dollars or less.
If we talk about its design, then according to various news reports, the size of the Pixel Fold is 5.8-inch which is a pocket-size phone. When we open it then it turns into a 7.6-inch tablet.
This phone is water resistant and its weight is 10oz. It has Google’s own Tensor G2 chip and the same processor that Pixel 7 Pro already has. If we talk about its battery then its battery is larger than the Samsungs Galaxy Z. The hinge of Google’s Pixel Fold is extremely durable and creates less impact on the screen.
If we talk about the camera of Pixel Fold then the rear side has a 48-megapixel camera with an f/1.7 aperture. It also has a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 10.8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
Google Pixel Fold will come with a full Android experience and will give exclusive Android features and widgets. This will be Google’s most expensive and premium category phone.
